RE: Street Bob vs. Fat Bob vs. Night Train
I agree if you want an 09 I would steer clear of the Street Bob, it lost it's good looks mixing that silver engine into the mix. I would go for the Night Train if you can afford it.

My choice would be a 2007 Night Train like the one below. I like the looks and would save a bundle by buying used.
I love the pipes, paint and seat on Hops bike. [sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

It all comes down to what fits you best...
There are many Harleys that I want, but when I bought my first one, it was a Fat Boy, I've been wanting it for so many years...
Next I'll buy an Ultra Classic and then a V-Rod...
My son is a beginner rider and refuses to start out on a Sportster... and wanted a crotch rocket...
But some how I talked him into a Street Bob, so that'll be his first bike... I know what your thinking... But to me the 96B engine is a great entry level bike...

Night Train without a doubt - unless you want to "kick it up a notch" with one of those CVO Springer Softails all the dealers seem to have right now. I think I'd go Night Train and then put a Springer front end on it for perfection.

I prefer the styling of the Night Train.
If you plan to take any trips, the Fat Bob has better ergos and might be more comfortable.
