Since I cannot afford the detacahble sissy bar for now, I think I will try the Gran Tour! Thanks for all the help

I am using the ultratour bag. It's a great backrest even when empty. I ran the straps underneath the bag and then through my rack. Its very stable when fully loaded. I looked at the grantour, but the ultra was on sale at the time. Sorry no pics, the camera is dead. [sm=Flahssssss.gif]

You should be fine,just run the forward straps around the shock mount and the rear straps around the tail-light housing.You're better off without the sissy bar,it makes the bag set just a bit too far forward for greatest comfort and restricts access to the rear compartment.
