Has anyone ever put steel wool inside of their aftermarket exhaust to quieten them down some?&nbsp\\; Will the steel wool burn up?

 

Wy not just get quiet baffles?

 

it'll most likely be pushed out by the exhaust, but if not, your bike may stall out or worse.

 

Most guys are tryen to make em louder..

Try this. Get a ball of very fine grade steel wool, take a 9 volt battery &amp\\; touch the wool with the 2 terminals. Instant camp fire starter. I wouldn't put them in my pipes unless I need to keep out rodents.

 

It will quiet it down temporarily and if your lucky it will shoot little sparks out in the dark.

i just wrapped mine....aint started it yet....motor's apart doin a freshen.....i'll let all yall know what happens ..... i wrapped a rush 2" with #2 steel wool and then put the fiberglass packin back on....it may catch on fire, we'll see.....mythbusters aint got **** on me
