Stay away ffrom steel wool only thing it is good for is burning valves, makes way too much back pressure. Tried that on one of my hotrods backin the fifties.

&nbsp\\;try brick wire (a mesh used on in masonary)its quite thick,i used it in my zorst on my chop when i had to get its yearly mot a few years ago or glass matin works ok
