Somebody must of gotten a ticket? \\; Yes, it will work to get the ticket signed off. \\; Just make sure you stuff it real hard incase the LEO wants you to 'rev it'. \\; It's won't last very long, just long enough.
 \\;
Had a couple of tickets signed off that way many years ago.

BUTT, the exaust also in takes air, an there is subursive chems in the product that will shorten the life of the in-take valves(2) or when through, you can have a crack party!

Whenever someone here in Okinawa gets a new bike it has to go thru Japanese inspection and that is standard for the bike sales from base to pack the mufflers with steel wool to pass the noise level test \\; gets taken out as soon as it is registered

Whoa!!! \\; Thanks for letting me know about how easily steel wool is to burn. \\; Since I don't have any rodents in my exhaust I won't be putting any steel wool in there. \\; I guess the word "steel" is why I thought it would be ok. \\; I really appreciate the heads up on this dumb idea I had.

Was told the same thing back in the 80s when I was trying to quiet the straight pipes on my van. \\; Worked great for about 50 miles, then I started shooting burning steels cannonballs into the ditch. \\; Good thing it was raining.
