MNPGRider, I've been looking for the article I read a couple of nights ago and have not been able to come up with it. The article talked about more manufacturers recommending synthetics and shipping their products with Synthetic oil from the factory. It spicificly mentioned Cadillak and also S&\\;S. But, now I'm not so sure they were talking about the same S&\\;S I was thinking of. When looking for some reference to the article, or any tie between S&\\;S and Amsoil, I found this link http://www.rebuiltautoengines.com/45-resource.html
Could be this is what the article referred to. I'll keep looking for what I read originally, and when I find it I will post it.

Actually Amsoil pays that profit to their MLM distributors. Some retail auto parts stores here carry it.

I do buy it at our "Fleet Farm" store (chain in WI), been using it since '03 in my '01 Fl classic. At the time it was better than the standard H-D oil (they had no synth). There's a lot more choices now though
