A indy shop in Lansing mi sells it. I buy it from a Harley friend. Over the last 6 years no one in my group has&nbsp\\;had a problem that could be tied to any kind of oil...

I have seen it in several Harley dealers, especially in Texas. The HD shops around here think that the only oil available in the world is HD Oil. If you ask them for something else, they give you that deer in the headlights look.
S&amp\\;S motors recommends the stuff.

Yeah, but neither has anyone else, with oil that's a helluva lot cheaper!
To answer the question, definitely a cult, followers are moonies.

If Amsoil is so good, why isn't it sold at retail stores?
Some motorcycle dealerships stock it. Riders just demand it, so smart dealers might as well sell it to their regular customers instead of somebody else. I buy mine from a local speed shop.

Its a cult.&nbsp\\; Guys want the "best" for their machine, and somehow Amsoil has made thousands of true believers.&nbsp\\; Not bashing it...buy what you want.

I have a freind who has been a rep for about 10 years and he swears by the stuff. I can also buy it from my indy. He says he sales Amsoil 2 to 1 over the next kind

my indy uses that scavager thing on all his oil changes at no extra cost
How so? The ScaveNger 'thingy' has fittings that replace the stock oil return hose and fittings. Is he giving them away and installing them with an oil change?
