Back rest will make you mucho comfortable. My wife insists on having one for the ride, otherwise she tenses up to much.

And yes he is already wanting me to learn to ride so I can get my own bike but that will be a few years down the road, if I ever get the nerve to ride on my own.

i agree with both parties taking the course.you never know when and if something comes up and someone might have to take over the rider position. plus you learn an TON of stuff in that class. its mandatory in florida now, but i recommend it for every rider, old and new. i learned more in 1 hour that i did in any amount of mileage in that class

do it. take the class. you wont be the only woman there... i guarantee it. (more women take it because guys think they are too macho to learn.. dumbasses)
they assume you know NOTHING and start you from "how to start a bike"... do it. best $200 i ever spent

The MSF course really is worth every penny and is a huge confidence builder.
