Default Harley Shops changing hands

There is a rumor that either the Annapolis Harley of Maryland has been bought out by Famous Mike's of Delaware or it is the other way around , just wondering if anyone can confirm this rumor!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

annapolis has bought mike's two dealerships in new castle and smyrna but, kept the groton, conn. dealership. the june hog meeting this was all announced. three execs. from milwaukee along with the owner of annapolis were there to explain it all to the chapter. word was he (mike) was still owner to some capacity (minority owner) and retained the land the dealerships are on and that his ex-wife still ran day to day operations of the dealerships

Maybe a little off topic but somewhat related since&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;Mike's is being sold but I often wondered how Mike stayed alive charging $2000.00 over MSRP?? I realize he has the bike you want but $2000.00 buys lot of accessories.. Most dealer are at least MSRP. Who would buy at that premium. Is Annapolis MSRP??

Mike's has always been a ripoff, I could never see how they stay in business.

Is that why he was "famous"?

Thanks for all the reply's been hearing rumors knew someone here would know and I have never been able to understand how he could sell what he does. I got an email from Mikes telling me they wanted my 2006 Ultra, i took it , what a waste of time that was.

I went to Mike's famous and they had a used Honda Rebel 250 going for 6000 dollars.&nbsp\\; I think that is all you need to know about the place.&nbsp\\; They have a little restaurant there and the people working there seem friendly enough but there is no way I would ever have bought a bike from them.
