Well, that's one opinion from the bean counters. Shows how far removed they are are from their core buyer base that they've been alienating for a number of years now.

Hard to argue with the fact that people ride Harley's because they enjoy the ride, not just to get from a to b. There are many cheaper and easier ways to do that but none so enjoyable.

Come&nbsp\\;on, why would that get your shorts in a knot?&nbsp\\; You don't have fun when you ride?&nbsp\\; That's not recreation/entertainment?&nbsp\\; If H-D was in the&nbsp\\;tansportation business they'd make subway cars.&nbsp\\; How many people do you see chroming, polishing, showing, and posing with their subway cars?&nbsp\\; Besides, whogas what business H-D thinks they're in, as long as they make stuff you want.

Really don't see your point here. I am an everyday rider and took no offense. It's true. At least they didn't lie and try to pass off Americans as "turning to HD for their daily transportation needs". Some of us do ride daily. Most owners don't. It's a fact. He didn't lie and I don't think that the MOCO is veering away from the core. They know who the core is, it's the other 90% they have to convince to buy their bikes at a premium compared to other brands. I love mine and love it even more now that I've parked the cage for a few months. But I'm not offended by the remarks in the article.&nbsp\\;

I think you would be hard pressed to find a HD rider/owner in either todays world, OR IN DAYS PASSED, who's #1 intrest in owning/riding a HD was transportation.
That's almost a laughable statement, and I have not a clue why anyone would take offense at what the man said.
