I think you would be hard pressed to find a HD rider/owner in either today's world, OR IN DAYS PASSED, who's #1 interest in owning/riding a HD was transportation.
That's almost a laughable statement, and I have not a clue why anyone would take offense at what the man said.

Well, that's one opinion from the bean counters. Shows how far removed they are are from their core buyer base that they've been alienating for a number of years now.

I posted my last response quite calmly. Same as this one. Next one will probably be the same.

Ummm....he didn't say HD was abandoning its customers. Quite the contrary. He also didn't say that HD was not in the motorcycle business. He said they build motorcycles for people who want to enjoy the ride, as opposed to simply focusing on the destination. He also recognized that HD's best customers are those who don't buy bikes every year but have long-term brand loyalty. So....why is this so wrong/offensive?

I hope this comment isn't meant as a slam.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I personally shake the hand of every enthusiastic Harley rider I come across.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The more the merrier out on the road in my eyes.

So they are selling 4 Harley's a month at their dealership in China.&nbsp\\; With over a billion people in the country I would think that you could say Harleys aren't flying out the doors. I wonder if they will offer discounts on the 08's in China?
