I have to disagree, there is a difference. Black absorbs heat in direct sunlight whether you're moving or not. My wife has a sliver helmet and I have black. On a sunny, summer day my helmet will be anywhere from 10-20 deg above ambient were her's is maybe +2 deg

I have black, and heat is not a big problem. My buddy has a white full face, and he look like he just came out of a sauna when he takes it off after a ride. Ventilation is the key.

I have a black half shell and black full face helmet and haven't noticed any problems with heat. I don't think it's an issue as long as you've got ventilation.
