I just bought a 72 harley chopper to save gas

 

Wow. You could buy a ton of gas for the depreciation, insurance, maintenance, interest etc. it costs to buy a motorcycle. Oil prices dropped more than 15 percent in the last couple of days. If gas dropped 15 percent, it would be about $3.50 per gallon. Just sayin.

I have a FXE&nbsp\\;shovelhead also.&nbsp\\; I hear shovelheads and toyota prius are the best vehichle for commuting now.&nbsp\\;

 

Next year when newbs realize how much they'll save buying a 9-10k Sportster and riding to work MAYBE 100 days per year there'll be some used bargains.

No.&nbsp\\; They have it wrong.&nbsp\\; We are buying Sportsters because they are a kick in the pants to ride.&nbsp\\; The gas thing is just an excuse to convince the wife.&nbsp\\;

 

+1 It's a good way to get back into or into riding. Plus depending on were you live with weather longer riding season for some will save a little on gas but thats secondery. It's allso a way "if you ain't got ***** just to go buy it" to bull S^*T the old lady. HONEY CAN I BUY A BIKE WITH MY HARD EARNED MONEY PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE . How many times when I was at the gun shop and a guy would look at a Rifle he say I'll have to ask my wife if I can buy it.WTF BE A MAN. As long as you pay the bills and take care of you kids meet your oblagations F yes buy&nbsp\\;it.

 

That was my excuse to buy my Street Bob! She sure fell for it.
