Thru the years I have purchased 4 new bikes from this dealer. They have always treated me very good. However I have some friends who say they have had bad experiences with them and won't go there again for a new bike. So it is very hard to say you will be satisfied with them. Seems like all dealers have people who like them and also people who don't. Just goes to show that you can't make everyone happy I guess.

The salesman I talked with Saturday about a Electra Glide Classic seemed pretty laid back and wasn't pushy at all. He took time to show me several bikes in the back room and answered alot of my questions.
This isnt my first Harley but it is my first new one to buy from a dealer and with all the horror stories you hear its just got me nervous. Thought about another late model used but they seem to be askin the same if not more than new.

Sounds like you might have been talking with Greg. Like I said, I've always been treated well including the service department so as of yet I have no reason to knock them. I do know someone was interested in buying a bike and they were pretty much ignored. Guess the salesman didn't think they were really interested in buying and was only looking. Big mistake! They bought a bike elsewhere!

Yeah, those guys must think they are at the rice burner dealership. Chet is a cool guy. Also Gene in the back if you get a chance to talk to him. You will have to get to know Danny, the greybeard. He has a lot of old stories to tell. Been everywhere and done that.

When I first got back from overseas, almost 30 years ago, I met the mechanic that maintained my rice burner at a local Kawasaki dealership until I got rid of it years later. He was really a Harley guy, but we don't have a local Harley dealership, so he was doing the metric stuff to make a living. Richmond is where he buys all his new Harleys, but he won't have them serviced there. Even when he isn't doing the service himself.

Since this guy knows more about Harleys and bikes in general than about anyone I know (maybe some exceptions on this forum), I haven't considered taking mine there for any sort of service, but the sales crew must be pretty good. It's only about 70 miles west to Indy where I get my bike serviced (Harley of Indianapolis) and I've had nothing but good luck with their service department.

Not sure I can recommend the place where I bought mine (Indy West HD), although I didn't have any bad experiences. Just didn't feel like they had any idea who I was after the sale. I even had good service from them, but never felt like "one of the family".
