Default Road King Vs Road King Classic

Hello all, I Have to choose between these 2 bikes. I use the bike for going to work every day and trip on weekends. the problem is that I love the look of the classic but i think hard bags will work better for me because i will leave the bike under spanish burning sun and i dont know if leather bagd will work fine. I would also like to install a tour pack and i think tour pack looks better with hard bags.

Go with the Classic, if for no other reason than the cruise control. I have the leather tour pak that matches the RKC bags and park it outside at work, in the sun, everyday. Holds up fine.

I have the Classic - no regrets (well perhaps a tiny one - the laced wheels look great, but if I ever replace them it will be with cast wheels for easier roadside fixes).&nbsp\\; Just keep the leather well conditioned and you should not have any problems with them baking in the sun all day.&nbsp\\; The leather RKC tour pack looks good - as does a chopped black hard pack - with the leather bags.

I have the Road King and I love it.&nbsp\\; The lockable hard bags are very useful.&nbsp\\; Cruise control is definitely nice, so I got it for mine.&nbsp\\; Basically it's gonna come down to the leather vs hard bags.&nbsp\\; I'm happy with my choice.

the&nbsp\\;RKC requires a tad more TLC, with whitewalls and all those spokes/laces, The spokes should be checked every 3k or abouts, to make sure none are loose. I swapped out my leather bags for hard bags on my RKC,,,,,,I think that's the way you should go. The hard bags are easier to open and close. they also make an emergency beer cooler, plus they lock,

Road King!&nbsp\\; The hard bags and the lack of spokes and wide whitewalls!&nbsp\\; I hate cleaning them!&nbsp\\; I added the cruise and antilock brakes.

RK - locking hard bags.&nbsp\\; Not a fan of soft bags.&nbsp\\; Good choice either way you go.

RK&nbsp\\; Love hard bags, added lace wheels, best of both.

&nbsp\\;
For the record, the classic bags and the custom for that matter are not soft.&nbsp\\; They are hard.&nbsp\\; And they lock.&nbsp\\;
