Anyone use Hot Toppers on their bike?
They're chrome metal clips that snap on over the standard zinc bolt heads on the bike instead of replacing the whole bolt. \\;\\\\\\; I've replaced the bolts on my RK but I think I'm going to give these a try on the Heritage. \\;\\\\\\; They come in different packages. \\;\\\\\\; The entire kit is almost 300 pieces for about $350. \\;\\\\\\; I don't see what they can possibly cover. \\;\\\\\\; They have another kit of about 90 pieces for about $120. \\;\\\\\\; That's the one I'm going to buy. \\;\\\\\\; Even 90 pieces I can't see that many bolt heads on the bike.

Yes, get the starter package which is more reasonable at $129 versus $229 for the whole bike. \\; I did and wound up with some left over. \\;They are a nice finishing touch.

Both my bikes I removed all the covers, rocker boxes, etc. So I went with the chrome bolt kits for about $100 each. There are two rocker box bolts on the RK that I couldn't replace because to tighten them with an allen wrench would mean haveing to shift the motor over.
They are under the frame so I left them alone. Toppers look better than the stock bolts.

the hot toppers I have used are "high quality plastic" not metal....and they do look good.

Agree with others - starter kit for the engine is the way to go!

Not sure what I got, but I called and spoke to the dude, .....nice guy and told him exactly what I wanted to cover. ( I already had the engine tops spiked off ) Got everything and was really happy. Bike looks much better now.
And for what it did to the looks...... was cheap as chips.
Oh, and I should add, that he was one of the few honest people who didn't screw me on international shipping.
