Near where I live in the little town of Bean Station Tn. they have put up traffic signals, which have been up for a year or so, but all is not well, the lights have spent more time flashing caution on the through side and flashing red on the crossover for the past 6 months or so, this is a true disgrace, it seems that they can afford about 6 police cruisers to write tickets for speeding and paying the salary of the police officers but they can't afford to fix the lights. The reason I'm sounding off on this is because I like to have got hit by a truck that decided to crossover in front of me [&:], I had done locked it down and was trying my best to stop and by the grace of God the woman finally seen me and stopped in the middle of the rd.
Needless to say my heart was in my throat, I eased on through and looked up at Heaven and said thank you Lord.
I am thinking of going to a meeting in the little town and seeing why they can't afford to fix the stupid lights that could save lifes, maybe mine.

it was some stoopit teenager, yappin on her cell phone, and
just about rear ended the van next to me
i heard it comin, looked, and could not see where it was comin from,
she was in my blind spot to the left
i freaked out on her, just reaction i guess
i dont mind the grim reaper comin for me, i m ready,
but i'd like to at least see him comin

 

You would think fixing those lights would be a priority. Stay safe!!!

 

Glad you're ok. I don't think it would be a bad idea at all to show up at that meeting and tell them what happened. Maybe it would be enough to get there a*ses moving and fix the light.

 

With a town name like "Bean Station", no wonder the lights don't work. LOL... If it's a State route, call the state. They would be responsible for it.

I bet the lights are working right in the big cities of Puncheon Camp, Raven Ridge, and Washburn.......

There just fixing to pour sidewalks in Washburn, and they don't even need them.

 

Crossing on red flashing scares the crap out of me, most people don't even slow down. Please be careful.
