Also check the date on car tires, although the code is supposed to be on the inside of the tire, so you have to get under the car to see it.

Same thing on my RK...about 5000 miles in for service, dealer caught it and replaced it under warranty...of course it hadn't blown, YET!!!!!

Your luckey the dealer caught it! I guess everyone with Dunlops better check their tires evidently this kind of failure starts out as a crack invisible to the naked eye and grows.
