I wish my daughter asked for that! I would figure it out for maybe a few hundered miles a day, having some fun along the way. Oh yeah, I would go for it if you can get the time.

After talking to my ex she agreed to the short trips for now. Maybe next year we do the 3,600 mile round trip out west. I sure hope my daughter still likes to ride next summer. Thanks for all the input.

I made it a "rite of passage" for all of my kids.&nbsp\\; When they turn 13 we do an extended trip together.&nbsp\\; My oldest and I went to Macon, GA (about 350 mi one way) to see Gretchen Wilson at the state fair, my second daughter and I went to a "Halloween Haunt" at a theme park in VA (about 350mi one way), and my oldest son will definitely want to go to the beach (next summer) for surfing lessons.&nbsp\\; It's a great memory and a great thing to look forward to also.&nbsp\\; My 10 year old is already starting to talk about what his trip will be!&nbsp\\; I've even got one more after that - no jokes about what causes 5 kids!
&nbsp\\;
Couple of rules we have... one - stay off the main highways, two - no fast food, has to be local places (great bbq, hometown burgers, the meat and potatoes of America!).
&nbsp\\;
Have a blast and she will too!

My oldest daughter is riding bitch with me to Sturgis.&nbsp\\; We'll end up doing close to 4,000 miles out and back. Looking forward to the memories!
