How much will Dealer give up?
Gotta ask this...
i am about to buy my First HD.
And they are asking MSRP for the bike (2008 Fat Bob)
They were asking up to 2k over a few months back.
the 2009's will be here next month and the price has dropped on the 08's.
Well at least down to MSRP. anyway \\;I am wanting the 08' in either vivide black or the denium
and not sure about the VIP pass yet. Anyway if thet are asking 15k, will they bend on the price an dif so how much do you think? I want the bike, but i want to be able to get the VIP and some gear too so \\;I need a buffer. What have you paid, and what should I ask for it?

You won't get a '08 Fatboy brand new for less than 15K from a dealership...unless you own the dealership...the real question is what is it worth to YOU...make an offer...worst they could do is turn you down.

My guess is that dealers are starting to feel the pinch a little. All the local shops (ATL) have at least two of everything on the floor and used bikes up the wazoo. They even have rebates and financing deals going on '08 models. I'd shop around a little if I were you. If you are willing to travel I'm sure you can beat MSRP. That said, the fat bob is a popular bike right now because it's priced better than most other models. You might find that they are willing to come off more on the higher priced bikes. Good luck.

I am getting ready to spring for a new Street Bob in the coming months and was wondering the same thing. \\; I guess the only bargaining power is to go in ready to write a check and ride out on the new bike. \\; Trouble is, I want some stuff that I will probably have to special order so buying one off the showroom floor is not going to be an option. \\; So, I guess write the order and be ready to write the check at that dealer, \\;or at another one. \\;

Three dealers I talked to have dropped $800.00 off the price of the Nightster I am looking at buying. \\;
