From xenonlinks.com has anyone used this vendor? They have a h4 kit for $79 and a 881 (spotlamps) kit for $119. Are they any good?

That seems awfully cheap, the prices I have been seeing are 200 and up.

HID lamps that use H4 housings are not DOT legal. HID lights require a special refractor or the beam pattern will not be correct.

Lots of intrest in this subject. Want to know try here and HERE They work very well but need a converter to make your lens to work correctly. To get a HID certified by DOT one must supply a complete unit, the same that are not certified but is not practical. A good unit lasts very long and works well. You need to know exactly what you are buying and have live support. There is many differences in manufactures and products. When doing research keep in mind all. Just the gas alone in the bulb detrmines how long a bulb lasts. Much to know but you can not buy a unit that is cheep and good that lasts long and works well. In life you get what you pay for.

I bought my hid light which was DOT approved from J&amp\\;P cycle. works good, but not much difference.
