seems like it would be hard to stage that, but it does look off.
&nbsp\\;
WTF is with this Dragon place, it seems like every Summer there is a constant stream of threads where people f up on this road.
&nbsp\\;
Up here in the NW we have twisties up the wazoo, and a lot of them are banked the wrong way, I don't hear about people eating it in my area hardley ever

+1. They must get a lot of flatlanders on that Dragon that are inexperienced.

that looked staged, his pants and his arm that he fell on wasn't even dirty or marked up.
&nbsp\\;
staged?
I dont think so. Did you see the sparks from under the bike on some of the pictures? If your not going real fast, the road rash will show up later.... It might not show up in the picture but the trama to the skin has been done. It will scab&nbsp\\; and seep later. Dont ask me how I know...

300+ curves in 11 miles, that's what gets so many bikes. Killboy has been photographing riders on the dragon for a long time, they don't need to stage any photos.

I edited my post. I did see that I made a hasty decision. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the bike.

Great place to ride! I was there 2 weeks ago. Stopped at the rest stop overlooking the dam before actually going on the tail for our first run and they had just cleared a wreck couple of miles down the tail. Husband dies, wifes survives, saw the wreck being towed off. Freaked my wife out! Just take it slow and with each pass I gained confidence and a little more speed. You do have to be very careful of all the other crazies on all types of bikes, cars, trikes and scooters!

I ride a lot of twisties out here, and here's what I see - pure speculation. I can see he
was countersteering - you can see the offset of the front tire before he goes
down. He wasn't going very fast, it was just a very sharp turn.

He got the bike over far enough that he loaded too much weight on the frame
and unloaded weight from the tires. You can see the sparks from the frame. He
therefore lowsided.

This is all you ever need to see to know why NEVER to lower your bike!

I think he rode it out and didn't slide on his skin or clothes. I think the pics show
him bailing off just before it stopped.

I see skid marks from his boot heel or peg in one pic, right by his elbow on the ground. I
see skid marks from his saddlebags etc. None of the skid marks is very long.

He had a decent line - he was near the inside of the curve at the apex and he wasn't
going fast enough to slide outside of his lane. I think he was going about 20 mph maybe.
The reason we don't see tire skid marks is because the tires were off the
ground - unloaded. The frame, bags, etc. did the skidding. He just got his horse kicked
out from under him.

I'll bet next time he keeps both hands on the bars. There's a time to wave, &amp\\; a time not to wave. Tight turns &amp\\; scraping the boards, not the time.
