anything over MSRP should be out of the question....With the market the way it is and no one really buying new bikes you should be able to get a pretty good deal on a bike from a dealer, and with the 09 on their way should give you some leverage.

Is there a certain amount people are paying under MSRP?&nbsp\\; I would like everyones opinion, especially those who bought in bordering states to Oklahoma.

I paid MSRP + 6.25% sales tax + $250 prep - $100 gift card and my dealer drove 300 miles one way to get the exact bike I wanted.&nbsp\\; Don't forget to add the one&nbsp\\;accessory you cannot be without... a hand towel to wipe that s..t eatin' grin off your face.

MSRP is normal around here.&nbsp\\; But good deals can be had at times on dealer installed accessories and add-ons, etc. Work em' like your life depended on it and tell them I said to give you a good deal...ha, ha

If you wait 2 weeks there "should" be a $2,000 rebate on most 2008 big twins, as the 09's come out. This is a rebate from HD (not something the dealer puts on)&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;and although they don't do it every year, they have done it for the last 2. The dealer will not know for sure if the rebate is coming until they announce the 2009 line-up, so belive him when he tells you he doesn't know. Good Luck

I would wait for a month for the 09s unless you are getting a very good deal.

Well I bought the bike.&nbsp\\; 2008 Road King Std Crimson Red Sunglo.&nbsp\\; Added Cruise, wide white wall tires, chrome laced wheels.&nbsp\\; Already installed where some true duals straight shot style, power commander.&nbsp\\; Couldnt bring it home&nbsp\\;.&nbsp\\; (they didnt have enough time to install everything.&nbsp\\; I will have to wait till saturday, my buddy is going up there to buy a cross bones flat blue denim.&nbsp\\; So we will ride them back together.&nbsp\\; Paid MSRP+345 freight+213.30 setup+ cost of tires+ cost of cruise+ cost of pipes and power commander + labor on everything + 259 doc fee.&nbsp\\; Dont know what kind of deal I got.&nbsp\\; They are normally a fair market value dealer. Got there at 10 am didnt finish the deal until 5 pm.&nbsp\\; So it wasnt a lack of effort on my part to get them to go lower than msrp plus fees.

Total price $20,454.25 less trade and cash

Dealer here willing to drop dealer prep cost, drop the shipping cost and take a $1000 off price...not too shabby...
