Get a mirror and a flashlight and look at your transmission mainshaft seal.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; It's possible that you may have a small leak that isn't dripping.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; If you're using gear oil in your transmission,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; it doesn't take much of a leak to smell it.

Recently I have noticed a hot smell on various occassions, I have checked all lube levels, all ok bike runs fine just an odd smell near rear cylinder. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated. Ride Safe.
My wife will occasionally complain about the same thing when we are out riding. It is usually after lunch at a Mexican diner.
