RE: Small garage door opener
I have the HD kit that works by cycling the hi/lo beams. \\; About $120 list. \\; Kind of pricey for a gd opener but brings a smile to my face everytime I use it. \\; Very Slick.
 \\;
According to above, someone makes something just like it for about $40. \\; Let's see, HD $120, someone else $40. \\; Yeah, that sounds about right.

I've got a small Key Fob one from Sears that has a large opener bottom on it. \\; It fits into the change pocket on my jeans and I can hit it with my right hand as I'm pulling up or after pulling out.

I got a 12 volt powered remote, took the battery out, soldered in a jumper wire on the remotes switch terminals and soldered wires to the battery tabs in the remote, one too ground and one tapped into the high beam switch wire. This way you use the bikes battery to operate the remote, and you'll never have to replace the remotes battery again.
