Rush 1.75s vs 2.00s
I have a set of Rush 1.75s on my RKC and it looks like I am going to have to warranty them, there is a metallic sound sometimes. They said that a baffle isn't in there correctly, just to warranty them.
The 1.75s are too quiet for my tastes, but not too too bad, my question is the 2.00s significantly louder or just a bit? Anyone heard the difference between the two?

I've had both. Started with the 1.75, then replaced them with the 2.0 baffles. the 2.0 are deeper and noticibly louder. I then switched to the Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggered, which I like even better.

Another forum member had the 1.75s and asked for my 2.0s when I removed them - he is very happy with the difference as well.

I have the 2.25" and love them, but I also have a Big Sucker and Fuel Pak. \\; They are pretty loud, but I don't notice. \\; I also have a shovel with 2" drags, so this bike is quiet to me. \\; 2" will work and sound REAL good, you don't want to go any bigger without more air. \\; They sell a 2.5" but not good on a stock motor.

RE: Rush 1.75s vs 2.00s
When I was running Rush mufflers I found that the 1.75's had a kind of throbbing sound that became very tiring on longer rides. The folks at Rush recommended I switch to 2.0's, making the point that while the volume was just a little higher the frequency was very different, giving a much deeper and (to most people's ears) more pleasant sound. I switched, and they were right. Best sound I've ever had on my bike.
Currently running D&D Fatcat with quiet baffle, which sounds nearly as good as the Rush did but give about 8% better performance, according to the dyno.

I guess I am getting old, but I have the 2" Rush baffles and they seem way too loud for me. \\; I ride with ear plugs but they still seem loud. \\; I don't want to be obnoxious to my neighbors or cars that I pass and I feel that my pipes are too loud. \\; Of course I have not heard what they sound like to other people. \\; I was going to go down to the 1.5" baffle for $70.00 + outrageous TN Sales Tax, but I have decided to go back to my stock mufflers. \\; I like the sound but I want to be considerate at the same time. \\; 2008 Sportster XL 883L
