When I started out on a metric bike.....shifting with steel-toes was weird......not a prob with the Harley......that "clunk" that folks bitch about has it's benefits...................

The boots I bought this weekend are steel, unless they've found a way to magnetize plastic and put it in cheap boots.&nbsp\\;

Steel boots for my feet, jacket for my bod, helmet for my head. Which is most important?

ORIGINAL: beary

I was told that steel toe boots are not good riding boots because they get cold in temps below 50 degrees. Is this right?

Thanks

And here all this time I thought my toes were cold because it was frickin' cold up here. [:@]

I call BS on this one. [:-]

Guess I am the odd one out here.

I can tell the difference wearing my old steel toes versus my regular boots during cold weather riding.

Steel toes on the way to work in the winter and my feet stay cold all day, even with wool sox.

Wear my regular boots and they get cold, but recover after a bit.

Chunked my last pair of steel toes about 4 years ago, and now wear titanium toes.

Much lighter - important to an old geezer climbing around on boilers all day.
