RE: Steel Toe riding boots?
I wear my Red Wings 99.9% of the time when I ride....They're COMFORTABLE...They're high enough that when I step off the bike the calf of my leg doesnt get burnt...they have a 'gladiator ground gripper sole.....and I keep enough neatsfoot oil on them they're pretty much WATERPROOF....and last but not least...if I SHOULD drag a toe....they have FREE REPLACEMENT!!!!! (WORK)

Bullshit. \\; I've noticed some cold from my steel toes below 15 degrees standing around, but riding they block the wind!
 \\;
Now, my new steel toes are so F'in big I had to raise my shift lever to fit them under it. \\; Oh well. \\;

I've worn nothing but steel toed boots, year around, for the past 30 years or so....
 \\;
In fact, strange as it might sound to most, I don't even own a pair of 'regular shoes', or a shirt with buttons, or a suit, or sports coat and slacks, \\;or, or... \\; \\;
 \\;
Steel toed boots, jeans, sleeveless t's, sweaters, leather jackets, \\;that's about it when it comes to my \\;selection of clothing. \\;

Most steel toe boots are not steel any more, theyre composite. I think osha abolished steel way back because if something was dropped on the toes, it would cut the foot off. or crush the toes. Redwings are the best, I have their insulated ones and been in 25 degree cold with no issue. but I will say in the snow at 10k feet and 20 degrees I started to feel some bite behind the laces.
