Now that's some funny $#it![sm=funnypostabove.gif] I agree, as long as your not sitt'in there crack'in on it for five minutes before you pull away. Short of that, just wave and smile when you see your neighbors in the yard. Kill'em with kindness[sm=devilgrin.gif]

Until they get rid of the guy in the four door civic that has his subwoofer set for stun my neighbors can listen to my bike - My Pythons sound good and I like them that way - Live and let live!

Wife and I have Pythons on both bikes. If we get up early we try not to idle too long. We live at the top of a long hill, so we can coast out of the neighborhood if we have to. Most of the neighbors think we are a crazy couple because of our age riding Harleys.

Ok, so the pipes sound great on the open road but the neighbors don't like that throaty roar at 5am or any other time.

What are you doing for your pipes to keep them neighbor friendly but still be able to let it rip on the asphalt?

I am the only biker in this neighborhood so no support from the locals.

Stock is not an option!
What pipes do you have, and have they actually said anything (a voodoo doll of you staked to your front lawn might count)?

Maybe start up the bike in the garage? Push it down the street before you start it? Or find a job where you can work at home!

Run 2 1/4 inch drag pipes for a week or two then ask the neighbors which ones they like better.

You know... I read this post earlier today and didn't really know how to respond because I deal with inconsiderate neighbors all the time...

See... the guy next door is a total motor head... People from all over the place are always coming down here (I am in a cul-de-sac) and they are making all sorts of noise all the time... As a matter of fact the cul-de-sac is FULL of tire marks of which I am tired of seeing... One of the cars that comes down here is a kid that thinks he is hot $h1t... We were taking my daughter in the house the other day (asleep) and dumb@$$ did a burnout... woke her up...

Took my truck (with the flowmasters on it) and decided to go down to his cul-de-sac (of course they never do it by their own houses)... Scorched the living heck out of my tires and made a God awful sound... His dad comes out and is about to yell at me when I whip out the digital camera with pix of his son doing it in my front yard!

Guess who isn't allowed to drive their car anymore? (no... not me)

Long story short... Good fences make good neighbors. I've got another neighbor that does wheelies up and down the road on his ATV making all sorts of noise and driving the dogs nuts... And he had the nerve one day to walk down my driveway and tell me my truck was too loud... Um... no

If at 5am you are WOT and making all sorts of noise... I would probably want to kill you... Or if you sat there and reved the engine in the driveway. If you are just idling out of the yard and down the street? No. I think people just need to stop getting their knickers in a twist over the stupidist things... But that is just my opinion.

I would keep the pipes as quiet as possible until gone from the area, just don't rev the bike at all, that should keep peace....start the bike in the garage if you have one......thats all just be considerate as posssible......

Ya, my Aunt does live on the next lot over[:-]. Good thing we aren't the only loud bikers/loud pick-ups in our area, while there's not alot, there are enough around that I just say "wuzn't me. lol"
