Default Any way to improve front braking?

Is there a common way to improve the front braking on an 04 Night Train?

Sure, better performing aftermarket calipers, rotors and brake pads. When you say “common way” do you mean less costly? If so, many members have just replaced the stock pads with Lyndalls Z-pads and feel that it has greatly improved their brakes performance.
Z-pads will also prevent the brake dust that accumulates on the wheels when using the stock sintered iron pads. Look up a member with the screen name FastHarley who is doing business as Motorcycle Metal and is a forum sponsor. I am sure that he can put Z-pads on you at a reasonable price.
