80% of Harley Owners Wear No Helmet???
I have owned two sportbikes and have just bought my first Harley\\; a NightTrain. \\; I have always worn a lid when I ride. \\; And I have continued to do so over the last week since I've had my Train.

However, I have notices that nearly all Harley riders don't wear lids. \\; Now I recognize that we're not weaving in/out of traffic at triple digit speeds but someone still can come over on us, or turn left right in front etc. \\; So we are less likely to down but if we do we're done if no helmet.

Despite generally not wearing helmets it seems Harley owners don't get nearly as much grief for being dangerous careless etc. \\;

In all honesty how many here don't wear helmet? \\;

Do your family or friends get on you? \\;
 \\;
Any idea how many accidents we account for as a percentage of fatalities?

I started riding in 1960 when I was 15. \\; No helmet laws and not a very good selection of helmets available. \\; Rode without a helmet until I joined the Army in 1966. \\; In 1970 and I got one of those gold metaflake helmets now considered classic. \\; I've still got it sitting on a bookcase with other memorabilia. \\; Fast forward to today and I wear either a Vega 1/2 helmet or a Fulmer 3/4 depending mainly on temperature. \\; My choice has no bearing on your choice. \\; Wear what you feel comfortable with or wear no helmet at all. \\; Each to his / her own.  \\;

i usally do not wear a helmet. \\; but don't think anything is wrong with those who do \\;.it is smart to wear one helmets do save lives.
