Default HOG roadside assistance

My bike broke down on the highway. So I called HOG and the women takes my info and tells me that she will call back to let me know who and when they will be there.I wait for 20 minutes no call back.So I call them back and a different guy tells me that the first women was still working on it and she would give me a courtsy call right then,Well after 20 minutes and still no call back I call back again and a 3rd different person tells me that they have tried 12 towing companies and no one has a truck available.WTF!!! I was in the west suburbs of Cleveland Ohio, not in the middle of a desert or something. So I call a local company and they tell me they will be there in 30 minutes.I call HOG back and tell them I don't need there crappy service anymore.I tell them I got my own tow,and they guy says they called 20 tow compaines and no one had a truck.I told them that I called 1 company and got a tow.

ps.
This is the second time I've used the roadside assistance and the first time it was smooth and easy.So HOG is batting 50% with me.

Never had to use them but that is ridiculous. No tow trucks in Cleveland? Give me a break. Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands and, unfortunately, anymore it seems like that is the standard when it comes to any kind of service.

More than likely, it was a matter of no one had a truck available for what they wanted to pay.

I have used the HOG roadside assistance and have to say it wasn't the best.&nbsp\\; I had to wait 3 hours and then I still had to pay $50 toward a 20 mile tow.&nbsp\\; Ducati Roadside assistance is much better.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Guy arrived in 15 minutes was very courteous and I paid nothing for a 40 mile tow.&nbsp\\; That is why I didn't renew my HOG membership.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Seems a total waste of money to me.

My experience with HOG was the same. I finally got a tow 10 hours after I called them. It took numerous phone calls on my part to keep them working on my tow. When the tow finally arrived, he strapped the bike down on a flatbed and we started to head out, one of the tie downs broke and sent the buckle into my front fender causing a nice dent. What a fiasco! Never again.

I saw on the news last night that towing service has gone beserk because so many people are driving their cars till they run out of gas!!&nbsp\\; So makes sense to me that they couldn't find a truck!
