Default No Streetglide for now.

Well stopped by my favorite dealer and got a price to upgrade from my '08 FXSTC to a Streetglide. Since my riding habits seemed to have changed this year. Wife wants to take much longer cruises.
&nbsp\\;
I knew I would loss some cash&nbsp\\;but still I'm not ready to turn over my bike and $6500.00. I figured I gave $18,000.00 and change for my bike. Plus $2200.00 more in upgrades. Then once the dust settles I'll still need another $1000.00 to $1500.00 to cool the new bike down. Too much.
&nbsp\\;
I know, I know this ain't the old days and mods don't count for much. O yeah and the economy stinks..... Soooo I think this winter I'll lose the 16" apes for a set of 14" and put the stock seat on for the long hauls and maybe I'll live happily ever after.

Or just keep the bike and buy the Street Glide as well.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; You haven't even had the bike a year and you want to get rid of it already??&nbsp\\;

Before my wife started riding we only ran around here and there. Now that she is riding I'm making trips a couple hours one way. Three days ago we shot down to the beach which is 3 hours away and the comfort level of apes and forward controls just took away a bit of the fun. BTW between her and I we have 4 bikes. NO MORE. Kid starting college in fall

What about a slightly used SG? If you can find one.

You can do it if you sell the bike yourself.&nbsp\\; It really isn't that hard.&nbsp\\; Much easier than selling a car.&nbsp\\; I've had no trouble selling any bikes.&nbsp\\; Just sold my '04 Sportster about 3 weeks ago.&nbsp\\; It took about 3 weeks.&nbsp\\; I put an ad in Cycle Trader, Craigslist, and HD forums.&nbsp\\; The Cycle Trader ad sold it.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
