Me and buddy of mine just bought a new 2008 road gallon with a 6 gallaon tank.&nbsp\\; His bike quit running and the shop finally said it was something in the new gas tanks that came off and cloaked up the fuel line.&nbsp\\; Has anyone else had this problem or hear of it.

WTF is a road gallon?

 

Doesn't happen on new bikes that much.&nbsp\\; It's mostly on bikes with custom tanks that have to have the coating rolled by hand.

 

I looked in the online H~D catalog for a road gallon, no such ride was listed. What brand of bike is it?

 

&nbsp\\; Yes this is a problem with all 2008 models. there is a defect in the fitting going from the tank to the throttle body. The fitting coming out of the tank. A friend of mine has the same problem and this part is on back order. His bike has been at harley dealer for the last 3 weeks. Part was on back order. Was suppose to be here firday i havent talked to him. So word to the wise if this part hasnt failed it will in future so order one now to have. He was told part has been redesigned.

 

&nbsp\\;I wonder if they installed the 5 gallon fuel pump and the pump got confused with all the extra fuel in the container?

maybe they put the fuel pump in bakwards and it pumps gas out of the engine?
