I've encountered countersunk screws that were just a hair bigger than each other...both Harley.&nbsp\\; You need to find another screw, or just cut out a recess in the double sided tape.

 

I just used a drill bit to cut a counter sink in mine and used a stick on medallion.&nbsp\\; It's been on there for a couple of years, even in the HOT SC sun.
