I have a friend who lives along the beach there, and she's said for years every weekend tons of bikes show up and rev all day long. That's asking for it.
What's stupid though is making new laws. Just enforce the loud noise ordinance and the job is done.

If you're cruising the coast from San Pedro south to Orange County, you will likely cruise down Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach. Not all that different from P.C.H., which goes through countless cities. How many of those cities have cracked down on pipes?

Good thing the cops dont have any real crime to fight in SO-CAL. Now they have time to go after the real problem.
I may be wrong, but I would think if you just play it cool they wont bother you. I could be wrong though.

By now, everyone has to know how these things work.
 \\;
The Police recieve a bunch of complaints from "influential" citizens.
The Police release statement that they are aware of the problem and promising a "crackdown".
The Police make a few "public" arrests of the worst offenders.
The complaints dry up.
Things go back to normal.

I'll just add that to my list of reasons why I will never move to California.

Most on this forum do engine upgrades for better or higher performance, Its only a small percentage that are in the L.A.M.E club, the responsible rider would not likely get pulled over.
