Pick my new '08 Street Glide up in about 1 hour. Nervous as heck. Haven't rode since the 80's. LOT's of money. Wondering if this was a good idea and all. Dealer (they take a nice photo and frame it and all) and folks will be watching. You get my drift.

Hey Nobike,
Keep riding it as much as you can to get a good feel of it. \\; Many riders get nervous, so they ride less and less because they are too nervous to take it out. \\; After a few years they give up and you see nice bikes on ebay for \\;sale \\;with only a few 100 miles on them. \\; Once you get past the first 1000 miles...you are home free!!

That is good news. I only have about 500 miles so far on mine, still a little nervous. I'm sure it has to do with driving on these crazy British roads, if I was back in the states I think I'd be fine by now.

18 bikes in some 40 years. \\; Constant riding. \\; With every new bike it takes a few months get used to it. \\; Spend time on all kinds of roads so you understand how the machine will react. \\;

I pick mine up around the 21st of this month, and I'm gettin nervous about the heel and toe shifting on the floorboard (never done it before).
I'm going to be riding it outa the parking lot myself, no matter what though.

Im really surprised by all this,its like riding a bicycle right?
Seriously I was a little cautious with my new EG, but
once I opened it up, its was just like the old days.
