the lodge in Dallas
Two questions. Do theyallow scooter trash in biker gear at the Rosewood Mansion and will the Lodge send down any of their "talent" to your room?

We're ridden all over the states surrounding Oklahoma with the exception of Texas. What are the best places to ride to and relax in Texas? North Texas? Hill Country? East Texas? West Texas? South Texas?

heres a good place to get some decent info on rides in texas...

They color code ther maps for Scenic; Sweeping Curves; Twisties; and Unpaved hard packed gravel.

http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/tx.html

Big Bend (if you got the time)
Hill Country (Austin / Bandera / Kerville / Rock Springs)
Piney Woods is always nice getting on towards Lake O the Pines and Lake Caddo. Cypress Trees full of spanish moss / big pines and gators.
North Texas (HWY 16 anywhere / Lake Palo Pinto / HWY 4)

Mellow Mushroom for pizza and beers Ft Worth (right down the road from the TCU campus
Railhead Bar B Que in Ft Worth
Hard 8 Bar B Que in Stephenville

Strokers Ice House biker bar / compound Dallas

I dunno know nuthin about 5 star hotels such as Rosewood Mansion, that aint my kinda people.
As for the Lodge... I'd have to say probly.... (c; but you could probly get new chrome rims for your scoot cheaper heh

&lt\\;P&gt\\;Don’t forget to stop at Lukenbach and see Waylon, Willie and the&amp\\;nbsp\\; boys.&amp\\;nbsp\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&am p\\;nbsp\\;I never biked in Texas but spent a week there last July.&amp\\;nbsp\\; Right friendly place, even with the rifles showing in the back windows of the pickups.&amp\\;nbsp\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\; Come think of it,&amp\\;nbsp\\; maybe that’s WHY it’s a friendly place.&lt\\;BR&gt\\;&lt\\;BR&gt\\;Coming from little ol NJ,&amp\\;nbsp\\; I was of course amazed at the size of Texas.&amp\\;nbsp\\; You can see forever in any direction and the folks there consider a 2 hr drive to be just around the corner.&amp\\;nbsp\\; Why they even have trees there,&amp\\;nbsp\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\; I thought it was all sand and tumbleweeds.&lt\\;BR&gt\\;&lt\\;BR&gt\\;Stayed in the Dallas area but took a two day trip down to San Antonio with stops at Fredericksburg (settled by germans), LBJ ranch, and of course Lukenbach.&amp\\;nbsp\\;(no waylon) &amp\\;nbsp\\;Good clean roads and good eats everywhere we went. &lt\\;/P&gt\\;

I'm heading to Texas sometime around the 21st or there about. Gonna ride to Grand Prairie to my sons house. Then, he and I are going to ride on down to San Antonio for a few days.
Looking forward to the trip.

If you’re ridin’ thru Dallas on a weekend you gotta stop off at Strokers. Just East of 35 on Harry Hines. You won’t regret it!

Being from the Austin area I'm partial to the Hill country, tons of great riding. I hadn't seen this website before http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/tx.html&nbsp\\;but it shows some&nbsp\\;good riding all over the state. (Thanks to the guys who posted it above).
