Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo is pretty impressive. While your there eat at the Big Texan Steak House and try to finish off their 72oz steak. Take a little tour down Route 66. Pretty damn cool.
Of course, you finish the steak and you won't crap for a week.

Normally, we don't let people down here who live north of the Red River, but if you are on a bike we do make exceptions. My personal favorites are the Hill Country, Big Bend andthe Davis Mountains. Check out this website for some more detail....

You can take a ride through the piney woods on The Texas State Railroad. This is a train pulled by an old steam enginelocatedat Rusk.

Yeah, I thought I'd run down there to do a little spying on the Longhorns and put some cash in the hands of a few choice highschool recruits.

I would not miss Big Bend and the Davis Mountains. I've been there with my old Jeep and have dreamed ever since of returning with my bike. Take Rt 90 out of San Antonio toward Del Rio and keep going. Seminole Canyon, located about 35 miles west of Del Rio is really cool. The you can keep on going to Alpine. Make sure to check out the live music and cool atmosphere of the Railroad Blues Bar. The scenery and people here are great. Then you can head south about 70 miles to Big Bend Country. I fell in love with that place immediately. I drove an hour and a half once on nicely paved roads without even seeing another vehicle.

OU Sooners, the best Texas football players money can buy!
Heard a story one time about the Sooner that got drafted into the pro`s in football. He had a hard time figuring out how he was going to make it on the pay cut.I get a kick out of the lying SOB`S down here that get pissed at OU and act like they don`t cheat at Texas, yea right.
