Lord Albany,

Excellent post! You must have spent a lot of time putting it together, and it shows. I hope OReilly uses it.

Thanks for your service, if I'm not mistaken O'Reilly bashed the editorial right after it came out.

This thread has lead me to another conclusion; all that hometown/Lutheran stuff on his Prairie Home Companion show does not reflect his admiration of "old fashioned" values and ways - his show is actually making fun of America! I wish I'd thought of that sooner, I wouldn't have listened so much, and won't anymore at all.
What a shame. The man has an intellect that took a wrong turn.

Michael Savage holds nothing back, that's for sure!
If he could take some of the inflamatory showmanship out of his messages, he'd be fit for political office.

Exactly... as a lover of old time music I used to listen to Keillor's radio show. However, over time it became apparent he didn't really subscribe to old time values butinstead views small townfolks like ananthropologist observing and interpreting any primitive culture. Despite the great music, it became impossible for me to listen to the excreble tartuffe.

as an aside, you might be surprised to know how many selfdescribedcountry and folk performers are in fact Yankee born, concrete raised, card carrying lefties.

If the woman or the rabbit are still alive at the end of the song, it ain't old timey.

I agree with you that Keillor was wrong in saying those statements, but I still can't stand that d-bag O'Reilly
