Let me get this straight:

* Mid-twenties twerps riding little peddle bikes.

* 17 year old that had the grit to earn $$ and buy a HD out riding it.

* Twerps act like mental midgets and the 17 year oldrides off on his very own HD.

Hmmm. Obvious to me where the problem was.

Ride on.

Jaycross, you have much more class. They are much more ***.

You should be proud to be not one of those idiot splatbike owners.

Shows more class and 'age' to act like a grown up in situations like that - they probably got more rialled by your not rising to the bait than given them the satisfaction of showing they got to you! When people **** me off or give me the finger I just blow them a kiss and smile and watch their arteries tighten.

Two things. One is what they said was insulting irregardless of how they intended it. I went to Chicago a few weeks ago, turned out colder than I expected and my bike jacket was the only jacket I had. Some drunk kid on a tour bus repeatedly yells "where's your harley?" It's in the garage, where's your car? Sometimes I just don't get the insult. Here, with these kids, I don't get the insult. It's like kids on crotchrockets looking down on harley's because they, mostly, aren't built to appeal to people with a deathwish. Been there, done that, glad that part of my life is over and I'm still alive. I don't get the insult. You wish you were dead seems a curse, not a blessing.

The other is that the person is trying to offend you. If you get offended then you have done what they wanted you to do. Why give them the satisfaction. I had a terrible temper problem when I was young. I got in 50-100 fights for a long time. I would start beating on 2-3 guys just to show them whether I win or lose they're still going to get hurt. I lost jobs, girlfriends and got arrested over and over. It isn't cool to be an idiot. If you allow someone to manipulate you to your detriment then you're being an idiot. It doesn't matter who lost the most, what matters if that you lost by allowing them to do it. Here it didn't matter, you didn't let your temper get the best of you, but hop on a bike in a rage and bad things can happen.
