I've already emailed him my thoughts about his ignorant column, you can too.

This the part that irked me the most:
[/i]If anyone cared about the war dead, they could go read David Halberstam's "The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War" or Stephen Ambrose's "Citizen Soldiers: The U.S. Army from the Normandy Beaches to the Bulge to the Surrender of Germany, June 7, 1944 to May 7, 1945," or any of a hundred other books, and they would get a vision of what it was like to face death for your country, but the bikers riding in formation are more interested in being seen than in learning anything. They are grown men playing soldier, making a great hullabaloo without exposing themselves to danger, other than getting drunk and falling off a bike.

What a jerk, who is he to decide how anyone should honor veterans and fallen soliders. I've already sent an email expressing my disgust with his writing and encourage everyone else to do so as well. Here is the address. oldscout@prairiehome.us

What an azz wipe. He completely missed the point of Rolling Thunder and how many of those "fat, pony-tailed men" have served their country. They were the fortunate ones who were able to make it home, while thousands of their fellow soldiers still lay in far off rice paddies, beaches and other spots Mr. column-writer has never and will never been. Are there many non-soldiers in the procession? Of course and dare I say maybe a few "posers" to boot, but that should never diminish the show of respect and honor for those who gave their lives for their country.
Another perfect example of "if I have to explain it to you...."
Jackass with a typewriter.

And if you think he only likes to tell bikers what to do, he even sued his neighbor when the neighbor wanted to build an addition to THEIR house AFTER getting a legal variance.

What an azz, I too am embarrassed to call him a fellow Minnesotan.
