Huge differance moble1 vs mobil vtwin
After reading the post about how some guys are using moble 1 with good luck but not seeing any differance and why pay more for there vtwin oil i stoped by the supplier the flash point on moble 1 is 230-235 degrees depending on vescosity and for the vtwin its 270 degrees thats the main diff.
with means after 235 degrees moble 1s vescosity shear point and what else are gone. and v twin maintanes this to 270 degrees decide for your self.

That's very interesting...
Do you have any data that could confirm this?
You know the old who, what, when, where how stuff.

I think your quoting degrees centigrade
Info I saw was mobil 1 15/50 flash point= 473 F
If your oil gets that hot, you have a lot more issues to worry about than oil type

If you're saying that's a riskyissue with the Mobile 1 syn, what's the same"flash point" for reg dino oil? Gotta be considerably lower than ANY syn...just sayin...

Just looked in the spec book he has for mobil oil they explain alot of other thing the coldflow rate for vtwin is better asfar astemp being centigradedont think so but cant quarnty it but the crux of what the write up was about how v twin ismade with heaver polimersand other things that allow it to maintain its performance at higher temps. i work for a heavy equipment dealer and we gotdozens of differant oils speced for certain things just because its the right vescosity and looks slimy dosnt mean its got all that it needs to do the job. check out mobles web site see what they say.

How do you figure that it is the wrong oil? Your engine will never get that hot and neither of those oils is what Harley recommends for your bike. Mobile 1 is fine oil and will never harm your engine.
