They left a lot of suppliers with parts and debts when they went out of business last time.
I wonder how long they will run this go round?

What were the old Inidans like? Before they went out of business.
The ones from 1999-2002 were awful. Horrible quality, vibration, and poor dealer service. The new company is emphasizing quality but obviously at a very high price. If you're talking about the ones built before WWII, I really have no idea.

Sorry, but if Indian wants to make it, they better be competitive. They have been up and down more times than Monica Lewinski. Kinda like a restaurant buildingthat keeps going out of business. Once it gets the reputation tough to make it. I would not pay 10K much less 30K at this point. Buy one an be left with no warranty or support in a few months as usual. Sorry but it is a fact. Buy a HD. Of course, this IMHO.

I grew up in Springfield, MA (home of the original Indian cycle factory), and my brother owned a Scout. What would you like to know?

Too bad; their strategy isn't going to work in this economy and with the current competition.
How many times can a company make a comeback only to shutter its doors and still have any loyalty among consumers. After this run it may be the end.

My hubby rides a restored 47 Chief almost every day and loves the bike- but you have to be able to wrench or have big bucks to keep the oldsters going strong. I feel the old Indians are some of the most beautiful bikes around butthe new ones are simply too expensive for the current econmy. Plus the older bikes and copies thereof appeal to only a select crowd who love old things or old looking things.

Cool looking bike. I like the art deco/retro look. If they run well, I bet they do well. No, not affordable for everyone for sure but a very cool ride for those that will be able to afford it.

Personally, I wouldn't even consider one until they've been in production for 5+ years and have a large network of dealers. And I think they'll have to be a little more realistic in their pricing.
