RE: HD Going Bankrupt?!?!
I agree with everyone else- pay your bills and you will have no problems. Four bikes financed through HD and never a problem, never a late fee, no phone calls, nothing except a thank you for doing business with us letterafter the loans were paid.

RE: HD Going Bankrupt?!?!
If they did a repo on your bike over $5.46, I'd probably be upset, but I can't see any reason you would slander them in open forum because you can't pay on time. Most banks and credit cardsI deal with charge $30 for late fees, so you chould consider yourself blessed.

Never take a call from a bank, or supposed bank, calling you for information. Hang up and call bank. There are numerous scams were people call, tell you your warranty or loan has an issue or has expired, then want you to give out personal information. If you get a call, hang up then call the bank back to verify.

Just buy "old" scoots, N pay cash.
NO Eaglemark.
NO Interest.
NO lates.
NO phone calls from India.
Best part -
NO look alikes in the parking lot at the local hangouts.
Sorry guys, I am NOT quite so willing to jump on him for late pays, there are a ton of ppl loosing their houses, bikes, etc in these tough times. Just glad he is able to hold onto it and keep ridin'.

sounds like a possible scam....was the caller able to give you your loan number. With all the scams out there these days it's hard for me to trust phone calls like that

Good advice from both!
I don't understand the phone call either. Wouldn't this "late charge" have shown up on your next statement following the late payment?
If you continued to ignore that little charge and didn't pay, then they might call.
But as Lord Albany said, I would never give any information to a bank over the phone. You have all the contact information you need on every statement.
Call them and find out what's going on. If you do indeed owe this minor little charge, by all means pay it. It will not just go away on it's own. It will just get worse as time goes on.
