Hey, i have a 2002 sportster 883 and i really really want to put a set of vance and hines short shots staggered on my bike, but vance and hines doesnt make them for the earlier sporsters. i have heard them on newer 883 and they sound awsome. i was wondering if anyone has ever put a set of them, or the vance and hines sideshots on their earlier sportster, and if so....how did you do it, or does anyone have any possible ideas of how maybe i could get them to fit on my bike???....thanks guys and gals!

 

Your best bet would be to call V&H customer support and shoot that question at them. Probably just a bracket or mounting issue, but I would try to buy a set and force them on there. Call. you'll be happy, or at the the very least you'll hear it from them.

 

yeah i was thinkin that it would probably be a bracket, thats why i was wondering if maybe someone else had attempted to put those pipes on their sporty

 

Go to local indie and get them to fabricate a bracket up for you if that's the only issue.
