Ontario does emissions on cars and trucks every two years, safety only when you sell. No noise levels.
NOTHING on bikes!!!!! Yet.
I'm sure some government official is looking at it right now as a way to get more money.[:'(]

They quit doing safety and emissions inspections in Florida a long time ago. It was just a waste of money. Cell phones are a much bigger problem than anything an inspection would catch. Maybe if they would do IQ, English and driver's tests???

Thanks for the heads up. I will be moving to JAX next month.[sm=icon_cheers.gif] Glad they don't require the inspections. PITA.[:@] I fumble through english...like most native born. IQ...that has always been in question.

Emisions testing is required by individual states, not EPA.
If the air you are breathing is unhealthy, typically in metro areas, emision testing is one tool the states can use to comply with fed standards.
The air in Pittsburgh was once so bad that during certain events it contributed to some citizens deaths.
I'm not pro regulation, but I do like clean air, water and soil.
PA requires annual safety insp and sticker.
No emisions.

CT does not require an inspection or emissions on bikes. When registering out of state vehicles you do have to bring them in to get the VIN# checked.

Dallas has bike inspections, but I blow them off. Ain't putting no sticker where they wanted them.
They leave us alone on that anyway, so no biggie.
