In my 62 I've always used straight 60w HD oil. Some are probably going to say I'm nuts but never had a problem.

40w in the winter, unless it's really, really cold then 30w but don't run it hard.
50w in the cool weather.
60w as a default oil for most riding between 50-90 degrees
70w if you are running through Arizona and New Mexico in the summer at WFO throttle position for hours on end.

Good luck with your Pan. I had a '48 and loved it - but with a 12v electrical system she did give me her share of issues.

Whatchu runnin' for a primary? Rivera clutch seems to work best witht he so-called "total loss" output onthe tranny.

I had a '57, straight 60 worked for me. I was in 70-100 degree temperatures year round back then.

You could say 60wt. But with the info you sent it would be a guess if that would be the best. How worn is your engine? where do you live? what kind of riding do you do?
