RE: Need Electrical help Jump start went wrong ASAP pls.
Start simple, some bikes have two wires going to the positive, make sure both are connected to the battery. Make sure pos and neg are tight. If so then move on to the main fuse.

You might want to try the Sportster section on this forum to see if anyone there can scan the schematics from a service manual.

Hey thanks
Here's what it was Water Intrusion the Dealer said had 4 in the last month or so
all it needed was some elec.spray cleaner after you spray the fuse box and scrub it with a tooth brush and contact Grease and its was good to go

Its just shovelhead,
All the advice everyone has given is good.
Just start at the battery and work forward. Check the neg. wire and the positive. Make sure you have a good connection on both. Then check your fuses, next check the run/off switch, next check the starter and solinoid.
And as long as your carfull and don't start the car they are both 12 volt batteries. Done it a few times myself, best bet is to leave your bike on a trickel charger when not using the bike for a while.
If you want you can pm me and I can walk you through how to check everything and if you want I could e-mail you the electrical section you need out of the manual.
