V-rods, along with a lot of bikes, have turn signals on the bars.
I use fingerless mechanics gloves a lot.
Chaps have no crotch, period. I work in an office and ride to work daily, I wear chaps for a reason. I started wearing chaps as kid rounding up cattle in southern Arizona.

IMO... having 5 lights on the tree looks a little cluttered. it looks like most stock HD have the turn signals on the Bars. In fact, the new 2008's, 21 out of 31 bikes have the turn signals on the Bars. thats almost 70 percent of HD current production bikes...

 

You guys knocking turn signals on the handlebars can't be for real. I can understand folks maybe not liking them, but c'mon, some folks here thinkthe scoot was customized to have those signals there? WTF?

HD has LOTS of models that come that way stock...INCLUDING the Road King Custom in the original posters pic. Sure the RK Custom is no longer made, but it's a nice scoot.

Like the look or hate it, the fact isANYONE unfamiliar with signal lights on a stock handlebar for HD doesn't know much about HD motorcycles. And I can say that because I am NOT an expert, yet this has been common knowledge to me for YEARS.

Mine came on the handlebars stock. I switch em down low to the forks right off the bat, but that's the stock mount location.

 

That's where a lot of the old HDs had them mounted.
